This Scheme being implemented by AICTE with the objective of providing assistance for the advancement of girls pursuing technical education. Education is one of the most important tools to empower women with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to participate fully in the development process. It is an endeavor to give an opportunity to young women to pursue their education and prepare them for a successful future by “Empowerment of Women through Technical Education”.

Pragati Scholarship For Girls – Eligibility Criteria

If you are a girl student and want to know about ” Pragati Scholarship Eligibility”, then see the points below-

Girl candidate should be admitted in the first year of degree level course or second year of degree level course through lateral entry in any AICTE approved institute of the respective year.
Maximum two girl children per family are eligible.
The family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by the State/Union Territory Government needs to be attached.

Pragati Scholarship – Rewards List

AICTE Pragati Scholarship offers a total of 5,000 scholarships to girl scholars. Pragati Scholarship amount details are given below-

Selected students get Rs 50,000 per year for each year of study as a lump sum amount

Pragati Scholarship – Required Documents

here are some essential documents that applicants must keep with them while filling the Pragati Scholarship Application Form. Candidates have to upload the scanned copies of the following documents to complete their application process-

Class 10th marksheet.
Class 12th marksheet.
Aadhar Card.
Passport size photograph of the applicant
Annual family income certificate of the previous financial year in the prescribed format by the competent authority of Tehsildar or above.
Admit card issued by the Centralized Admission Authority for the first year degree/diploma programs for the current academic year
Receipt of tuition fee paid for the current academic year
Aadhar linked bank passbook containing applicant’s name, account number, IFSC code and photograph affixed at appropriate place duly signed by the manager along with the rubber stamp of the bank.
Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/Head of Department as per the prescribed format.
Attested copy of caste certificate, if applicant is applying for SC/ ST/ OBC.
Declaration duly signed by the parents as per the prescribed format stating that the information provided by the applicant is correct and the scholarship amount will be refunded if any incorrect information is found at any stage.

AICTE had decided to give reservation to the candidates of SC, ST and OBC category. AICTE had reserved some percentage of the total scholarship for these categories. The percentage is as follows:-

OBC – 27%
SC – 15%
ST – 7.5%

On the homepage, click on “Register here” to create a new profile.
Enter details & Click on Register.
A confirmation e-mail link will be sent to the registered e-mail id.
Click on the link in the mail to confirm your registration.
