Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2021

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is merit-cum-means based scholarship scheme. Launched by Sitaram Jindal Foundation, a charitable organization in Bengaluru, the Jindal Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving meritorious candidates from underprivileged families. To be eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship candidates need to study from class 11 to post-graduation. The scholarship also covers polytechnic and diploma courses in technical education. Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Rewards

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship is divided into different categories according to the courses pursued by the students. The value of the scholarship is up to INR 2,500 per month which is availed by students with various qualifications. The detailed details of the scholarship amount distributed among the selected students are given in this post .

Reward Distribution in Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2021

• Category ‘A’ { Class 11& 12 } – 500 Rupees
• Category ‘B’ { ITI Students } – 500 Rupees for government ITIs & 700 Rupees for private ITIs
• Category ‘C’ { Graduate & Post Graduate Courses } – For Undergraduate courses: INR 1,000 (Girls of General Category) , INR 800 (General Category Boys) , INR 1,000 (Physically Handicapped Students) , INR 1,200 (Widows of Ex-Servicemen and Unmarried Wards) For postgraduate courses: INR 1,200 (Girls of General Category) , INR 1,000 (General Category Boys) , INR 1,200 (Physically Handicapped Students) , INR 1,500 (Widows and Unmarried Wards of Ex-Servicemen) .
• Category ‘D’ { Diploma Courses } – 1200 Rupees for Girls & 1000 Rupees for Boys
• Category ‘E’ { Engineering & Medicine Courses } – INR 1,700 (for girls pursuing engineering courses) & INR 1,500 (for boys pursuing engineering courses)& INR 2,000 (for girls pursuing medical courses) or INR 1,800 (for boys studying medical courses) & INR 2,500 (for girls pursuing PG courses in engineering and medical courses) & INR 2,300 (for boys pursuing PG course in Engineering and Medicine course).
• For Students Staying in Hostel – INR 800 (Additional amount for hostel pursuing ITI/Diploma, Graduation/PG courses) & INR 1,200 (additional amount for hostels pursuing medical, engineering courses including PG courses)

Eligibility Criteria for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship

The foundation has divided the eligibility criteria into five categories to implement the Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2021 Scheme.

• Category ‘A’ { Class 11& 12 } – Students of class 11th and 12th are eligible for this scholarship. The minimum percentage required is 65% (75% for Karnataka and West Bengal students) for boys students and 60% for girls students (70% for Karnataka and West Bengal students).
• Category ‘B’ { ITI Students } – Students currently studying in ITI course are eligible for this scholarship. No income certificate is required for these students. The minimum percentage required in the final exam is 50% for boys and 40% for girls.
• Category ‘C’ { Graduate & Post Graduate Courses } – Candidates who are currently pursuing their graduation or post graduation degree from any recognized university are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship under this category. The minimum percentage required is 65% (75% for Karnataka and West Bengal students) for boys students and 60% for girls students (70% for Karnataka and West Bengal students).
• Category ‘D’ { Diploma Courses } – Students having Diploma in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Scientist, Journalism etc are eligible to apply for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2018. The annual gross family income of the candidate is not more than 2.5 lakhs to apply for this scholarship. . The minimum percentage required is 60% for boys students and 55% for girls students.
• Category ‘E’ { Engineering & Medicine Courses } – Candidates who are currently studying in Undergraduate or Post Graduate degree in Engineering and Medical can apply for SJ Scholarship under this category. The minimum percentage required is 70% (75% for Karnataka and West Bengal students) for boys students and 65% for girls (70% for Karnataka and West Bengal students).

Students who are already getting any scholarship from State or Central Government or NGO are not eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Scheme.

Selection Process for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2021

Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Authority will select the eligible candidates for the scholarship according to their academic performance and economic status. Selected candidates will get scholarship amount. SJ Foundation will send the scholarship amount check to the institutes of the selected candidate.

There is no online website or process to check Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Application Status. Hence, once you have applied you cannot check the status of your application. Wait for their confirmation letter, when you will be selected.
